We are excited to announce the *Open Call for Applications* for the *Digital
Democracy Hackathon South Asia 2025*!

Organized by *Innovation for Change (I4C) South Asia* and *Bytes for All
(B4A)*, in partnership with *CIVICUS* under the Digital Democracy
Initiative (DDI), this regional hackathon will bring together civil society
groups, activists, and innovators from across South Asia to co-create
digital solutions that strengthen civic space and promote inclusive
democracy.

*Hackathon Challenge Tracks*
1️) *Securing Digital Freedoms in the Age of AI Surveillance*  Harness AI
and data responsibly to expand access to information, improve transparency,
and make governance more inclusive.
2️) *Strengthening Digital Civic Spaces and Citizen Engagement * Develop
tools that protect privacy, security, and freedom of expression online,
ensuring safe civic participation in digital spaces.
3️) *Safety, Rights & Democratic Freedoms*  Build digital platforms and
solutions that amplify citizen voices, enable collective action, and
strengthen democratic participation.
