Well, you can tell by the way I use my walk..
..Life's goin' nowhere, somebody help me, yeah
I'm stayin' alive..
a great song <https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I_izvAbhExY> by the Bee
Gees!
Yes, let's keep this important email to *stay alive!.*..
Thanks Kate for doing this!
I can relate to Kaiser Kus's reflections about how our foresight about the
role of technology in socio-political evolution in recent times has
profoundly changed from one of optimism, with the rise of Ai based
targeting systems to one of alarm
<https://www.972mag.com/lavender-ai-israeli-army-gaza/>.
In reflection, then it might be Email lists like this one that might
ultimately bring some level of hope to this geo-political equation.
The availability of Ai also has a rather profound up-side..
that is: it seems social decision theory is apt to make some rather
profound advancements in no small part due to Ai's ability to work with
humans, conceptualize and help write up the latest advancements in this
promising field. This includes a generalized framework for the application
of the strategic automation algebra associated with mechanism
design'srevelation
principle.
so the upside to Ai's rise seems to also have a bright future.
but the down side that seems to also come along with information theoretic
democracy.. seems just as scary as we might be prudently expecting..
once the surveillance of private political preference data streams becomes
viable, the temptation by those wishing to use Ai sourced by this preference
data stream will become an almost irresistible temptation to prevail over
the otherwise democratic consensus of the electorate.
yes- lets keep the LT email list Alive!
..Life's goin' nowhere, somebody help me, yeah
I'm stayin' alive..
