Please read the message I received below from a fellow Truman Scholar
<https://www.wikiwand.com/en/Harry_S._Truman_Scholarship>. A lot of people
have been asking me what they can do to help the people of Ukraine. Here is
something direct and immediate we can all do to help.

Dear friends,

I am currently an assistant professor/Freigeist Fellow at the University of
Heidelberg in Germany. My colleague Natalia Roudakova, a scholar and former
professor at the University of California San Diego is organizing the
transport of refugees from the Polish border to Heidelberg. Natalia's
partner, Sylvain Alarie is taking off work, renting a truck, driving to the
Polish border, picking families up and returning. Until now, they've
financed this vital work themselves, but it's over $1200 per trip, and they
need help. This is a place where you will see the tangible effects of what
you are giving to Ukrainian refugees fleeing the horrors of war. You can
Paypal or Venmo her at: roudakova at gmail.com or reach out to her for bank
transfer information. If you use Venmo, you may be asked for the last four
digits of her cell number (7245).

Feel free to reach out to either myself or Natalia (roudakova at gmail.com) if
you would like more information. Everyone who contributes will be kept up
to date on how the money is spent. Thank you!

Best wishes,
Elisabeth
