Hi all,

Consumer Reports is just starting a cooperative study,
to test how well companies are complying with the
opt-out provision of the CCPA.

We want to better understand whether—and
how—companies are complying with the law, and
whether the process is accessible for California
citizens.

We're inviting Californians to try opting out of the
sale of their information from one of the companies
on the new data broker registry, and to report back
on their experience.

If you're interested in trying it out, please visit...

(I did one as part of the first group, and got
mixed results. The link that "my" company gave the
state was broken, but after I found the right one,
they manually dug into a bunch of mailing lists and
removed me. Your results will probably be different,
which is why we're trying to get more testers.)

Please share in any forum where this is on-topic.

Thank you in advance, and please let me know if you
have any questions.

Don
