[liberationtech] What are the best-in-class video conferencing options for low-bandwidth situations?

For webinars with shared slides, I found Adobe Connect to be more
bandwidth conserving. It's been a while since I tested it, though. In
2013, I managed to give lectures over a 2G connection, a two-hour
lecture with slides and audio, no video, resulted in 50 MB of
communication [up and down in total as reported by my USB dongle].

The downside of Adobe Connect is that it's proprietary and requires
hosting.
