Hi,
we (a few human rights activists) will be presenting a Offensive Privacy
workshop in Berlin.
As a way to better understand privacy threats we present case studies
and cover simple open-source-intelligence investigative techniques that
can be used to de-anonymize others. (Some case studies from Bellingcat,
some from our own work.) We will also show how governments have used
Italian, German and Israeli made spyware against human rights activists
and how these attacks looked to their victims. (Using case studies from
CitizenLab and Amnesty.) Finally we will cover what one can do to
protect themselves.
