Announcing some opportunities on the board of directors of Geeks Without
Bounds:


Geeks Without Bounds, or GWOB, is a nonprofit organization which assists
low-resource communities to install and maintain locally-owned technical
infrastructure, and provides education in the operation of same. GWOB
has assisted in the installation of electrical and wireless-network
infrastructure at the Oceti Sawotin camp, helped communities in Tanzania
track problems in water infrastructure, and helped track ebola in Nigeria.

Sought-after qualities in board members include:

Prior nonprofit board experience or willingness to self-educate.
Resources are available.
Fund-raising acumen.
Willingness to put at least 10 hours per month into an unpaid volunteer
position.
Ability and willingness to help build relationships with other
organizations.
