What is really appalling from progress in computer technologies is
in my humble view that lots of high-tech countries, especially of
course the US, simply put on their extremely high storage medea
everything that they can gather. They can do this surely easily for
all communications over telephones and Internet. They can even manage
to tag e.g. a person's daily necessary belongings with chips such that
even the time of the exact location of a person can also be put on
the storage media. Now one might question the ultimate sense of that.
For purposes of punishment of obvious crimes like murders is the answer
surely readily available. But for the rest of cases? A simple answer
is sadly that the workers of the secret agencies get paid for their work.
So why should they care and not enjoy their happy life instead.
Of course the life spans of such workers are limited. But, when they
die, their successors will be hired. I think this is veritably the
single most remarkable perpetual process on our planet.
