Hi folks,
I wanted to give you a heads up that Freedom of the Press Foundation
is hiring a Newsroom Support Engineer for SecureDrop. SecureDrop is an
open source whistleblower submission platform that uses a Tor hidden
service to manage submissions, and an air-gapped viewing device to
decrypt them. This role is at the interface between SecureDrop's
developers and its users, which include news organizations like the
NYT, WaPo and the New Yorker, but also advocacy groups like Greenpeace
and even some individual journalists.
Location: SF Bay Area or NYC (or ability to relocate there) strongly
preferred, though highly qualified remote candidates will be
considered.
This is a great role for people who excel at using digital security
tools, debugging software, hardware and networking issues, and
communicating about it all in a friendly and clear manner to diverse
audiences.
Full JD with instructions how to apply can be found here:

Please don't hesitate to forward this message if you know of other
venues where it should be shared.
Warmly,
Erik Moeller
