Very interesting indeed.

I wonder if the author is pseudonymous? A cursory internet search shows
that "Rashid al-Din Sinan" is the name of a historical figure from the
12th century, "a leader of the Syrian branch of the Nizari Ismaili
state (the Assassins or Al-Hashshashin), and a figure in the history of
the Crusades." He died in Masyaf, Syria, which is where the author of
the book review claims to be from. The author's institutional
affiliation, "Al-Hashshashin" also appears to be a reference to the same
historical figure.
