Let's then discuss about it. Coming from the awareness of
what is possible with a secushare/GNUnet I tend to have a
quite different and unique perspective on technology and
the Internet and how we could fix it, that's why you should
expect me saying things that will sound unfeasible at first
and only start making sense after longer periods of digestion.
Regarding the Paradox episodes, Bruce Schneier is more spot
on than usual, so I found that worthwhile. Some other aspects
like the European rights to opt out, to get insight and to
be forgotten are discussed in subsequent episodes. Things
that have been discussed thoroughly in German media, but
it may contain some nuggets from an Anglosaxon perspective.
TimBL then promotes a project of his which according to my
understanding has already been tried before with unhosted.org.
The idea that you can force companies to let you host your
data yourself- difficult to enforce even if there was a law
requiring it. Also, it doesn't tackle the problem of having
handed democracy-shattering powers to the five eyes.
