Perhaps on topic, I've recently released a new software called
'tinfoil' addressing some practical issues on the handling of profiles
by browsers: http://github.com/dyne/tinfoil

perhaps with some more collective enthusiasm on this simple codebase
we can port it to OSX and Windows systems, should be easy. PRs welcome
