[liberationtech] Operation Kingphish - report on attacks against activists in the Gulf

Dear libtech,

After the recent report of Nile Phish from CitizenLab last week, today
at Amnesty International we have released another of report of similar
phishing attacks against activists from Qatar and Nepal active on the
issue of migrant workers and labour rights.

This campaign is quite peculiar both for its remarkable attention to
detail and the very credible phishing strategy, but also for being
creepily complemented by some extensive engagement and infiltration over
social media by some fake profiles created for the purpose of
identifying and luring victims into the attacks.
