Dear Friends and Colleagues: We are looking for three researchers to
join our team of computational social scientists at Oxford. Ideally,
we'd like to have one person interested in the sociology of
algorithmic production, another interested in the law/policy
implications of bots and trolls, and another in the computational
analysis of political bots and botnets.

We've designed appointments as flexible predocs OR postdocs. This
allows us to build an internationally distributed team of social and
computer scientists who share interests but may be working at
different stages of fieldwork or writing. If the intellectual fit is
good there may be other ways we can support collaboration across
different kinds of career paths. Diversity in backgrounds, methods,
and perspectives has consistently improved our research output and
public scholarship, so please apply if you improve our social,
cultural and human capital. There are some residence and visa
regulations to abide by, but if you think the fit is right consider
applying to come to Oxford for a research appointment.
Best,
Phil
