Hi Martha,

A team at Possible Health, Medic Mobile, UNFPA, Harvard and University of
Washington published this paper last month:

Combining Healthcare-Based and Participatory Approaches to Surveillance:
Trends in Diarrheal and Respiratory Conditions Collected by a Mobile Phone
System by Community Health Workers in Rural Nepal
http://journals.plos.org/plosone/article?id=10.1371%2Fjournal.pone.0152738

Some of the same people are working on a paper about Possible's EMR, though
I don't know what stage of the publication process they're in (could
already be published). I would reach out to Duncan Maru. You can read about
the project informally here:
https://medium.com/@possible/digitizing-healthcare-in-rural-nepal-8931dda9cb81#.vx7d2l2j6

At some point in your process it might be worth talking to Jay Evans, who
leads Medic Mobile's Kathmandu's office and has a strong working
relationship with the ministry of health (full disclosure, I'm also
affiliated with Medic Mobile). If you'd like me to introduce Jay, feel free
to follow up off-list.

I'd also invite you to post a link to your findings here when you're
finished, I'd be interested to see what comes of your analysis!

cheers,
Isaac
