Hello, Technologists!
Roger Dingledine, co-founder of the Tor Project, will speak at the offices
of the Electronic Frontier Foundation this Monday at 6 pm. Some of the
topics he will discuss: The future of Tor's hidden (.onion) services, our
open observatory for online censorship, research into attacks and defenses
of the Tor network, outreach, Tor mobile (Orbot and Orfox), and our
fabulous new anonymous online chat programs, Ricochet and ChatSecure (both
onion services).

Techno-Activism Third Mondays -- October

Roger Dingledine, developer, researcher, and interim Executive Director for
the Tor Project <https://www.torproject.org/>, visits Techno-Activism Third
Mondays for a mini-State of the "Onion" for the anonymizing and
censorship-circumventing network. Come along to discuss future directions
for Tor, potential challenges, and opportunities for volunteer involvement.
Roger is one of the original developers of Tor, along with Nick Mathewson
and Paul Syverson. As a leading researcher in the anonymous communications
field, he also coordinates Tor's work with academia. Roger is serving as
the interim Executive Director while the organization searches for a new
permanent E.D.
