Web technologies are more and more employed in addressingresearch issues in political and social sciences, like social semantic web, web mining, network theory, agent based modeling, , discourse analysis,  and sentiment analysis. Along with thecomputational modeling and simulation methodologies, they offer an amazingarsenal of tools and instruments as well as concept and theories which can beemployed in the evaluation of the content of political discourse, the dynamicsof political parties, the voting preferences and behaviors, ideology formationand change, and in the complexity of political culture.

Research Topics:  content-based analysis of politicaldiscourse, computationalpolitics, political engineering, computational political science,  social web mining, tag clouds, topicmaps, folksonomies, modeling of processes on networks, social networkemergence, dynamics of political attitudes, dynamics of political culture, speechrecognition, opinion mining, sentiment analysis, and semantic wikis.

Interdisciplinary research approaches are most welcome!
