Another display of ignorance of how the Internet works: A magistrate
in Piaui, Brazil, ordered yesterday, Feb 25 2015, that Brazilian
telecom companies to block traffic to WhatsApp. The news report says
the judicial order stems from the fact WhatsApp failed to collaborate
in criminal investigations involving child pornography (I personally
prefer to call it "child exploitation").

It's worth mentioning WhatsApp does not have offices in Brazil and
apparently, from a legal perspective, Facebook is not liable for it yet.

As far as I know WhatsApp access in the country still works as usual.
