Progress on #8531 [ISO verification for Chrome] is mostly awaiting 
design
choices / wireframes from the firefox version.  The sha256 generation 
code is
from Satori, with a new file recognition/verification function.  This 
kind of
verification is easier when distributing just one file.  In contrast, 
Satori for
Desktop recognizes around 2000 files.

I have not heard of similar projects for Firefox.
