Proactive Monitoring: Challenges to Solutions

Join the Digital Diplomacy Coalition and the New America Foundation
for a panel discussion about Proactive Monitoring.

Thursday, June 26, 2014
5:30PM – 7:00PM Eastern

New America Foundation
1899 L St., N.W., Suite 400
Washington, DC 20036

In today’s world, organizations need to create more engaging content,
better strategies, and opportunities for engagement. Sound data
analytics is making this easier than ever. Proactive data monitoring
allows organizations to listen to their communities and evaluate
interactions, creating rich insights into digital engagement.

While this sounds like the answer to many woes, implementing these
technologies in government isn’t easy. It can raise questions about
privacy; what information is the government collecting, and how is it
being used. This discussion will explore how governments can balance
these very real concerns with their need for situational awareness,
data-driven strategy, and community engagement.
