Hello Everyone,

Just wanted to let everyone know that we've changed a few things about
our XMPP server located at chat.cpunk.us today:

1. We migrated the server software from OpenFire to Prosody
2. We generated new TLS certs issued by CACert instead of self-signed
3. We now support conferences at conference.cpunk.us
4. Registration from your favorite XMPP client is open and available.

Importantly, we've strengthened our TLS keys, only allow clients to
connect to the service using encryption, and only allow
server-to-server communication via encrypted connections.
Additionally, we keep absolutely no logs of any kind. We're also
working with our sister site chat.jpunix.net to provide even stronger
privacy and security options. Details on that will come soon.

Right now, registration can only happen via your XMPP client. We
recommend Jitsi but Adium and Pidgin also will work very well. When
you first log in, you will be presented with an untrusted TLS
certificate. Check the servers serial number. The serial number should
be 0EFBEC. If this number matches, you've got our good certificate. If
not, let me know and I'll look into it.
