[liberationtech] Wireless peripherals.

Hi folks,

When I got home this morning and went to plug my wireless (USB 'nano
receiver') mouse into my laptop it wasn't working so well.  I then noticed
it's casing was a little bit loose.

I promptly fetched my tin foil hat and thought that a swap of one of these
PCBs could be very valuable to an adversary.  I started to wonder about
research, disclosures or verification in these devices.  Does anybody know
of anything in this field?  The very fact that you're running over a
network which you, by default, know nothing about is warrant for some
concern anyhow.

My quick search for the microprocessor part number didn't bring up much,
but I will follow this up when I've got a bit more time.  Mouse is now out
of service.
