Hi,

the German Federal Office of Justice annually publishes statistics about
number of and reasons for wiretapping.

This includes content (Telekommunikationsüberwachung) and metadata
(Verkehrsdatenüberwachung)

Just saw that they also publish the number of cases when acoustic
surveillance is done indoors

Theoretically law enforcement has to tell anyone who's been subjected to
(legal) surveillance afterwards but in practise that often doesn't happen.

I'm sure there's more but that's what came to my mind first.
