Dear all,

A coalition of civil and human rights organizations (including the New
America Foundation's Open Technology Institute--my own organization)
released a statement on privacy and big data today.

Here's a link:
http://www.civilrights.org/press/2014/civil-rights-principles-big-data.html.

This is the first time that such a coalition has weighed in on issues
of fairness and discrimination regarding privacy and big data--at
least in the United States.

Warm regards,
Seeta
