I use encrypted video calls via Ostel with Jitsi on a fairly regular
basis. Here is a talk I gave remotely in Barcelona (from Boston) through

You may want to play with adjusting the bitrate and codecs in Jitsi.

Yes, it is true. Linphone on Android does especially well with video,
much better than other apps like CSipSimple for example.
