> It is not the Tor Browser provided by the Tor Project.

That is true, it is an alternative. Firefox is not the only Browser to use
with Tor.

>This is an extremely questionable piece of software.

Nonsense. The Addon is the Qt Vidalia, just with a new iconset and compiled
as as qt plug.

>The developer's user name is 'perrymikey' which is likely a reference to
> the main Tor Browser developer 'mikeperry' who did not build this
software.

That user is since one year not anymore part of the project as the name-was
reserved for the original developer, in case he wanted to step in. Due to
his time and non-availablity, the account was removed. So good that you
know about the project, but you owl provide outdated and so prejudiced
knowledge.

> their logo and even their website layout
this was once discussed with the internal Tor people and the website is CC
license and they agreed, if there is a disclaimer, that this project is not
affilated with tor-project. It is written several times on the page.

>Wondering if it also contain some malware...

Of course, you mean the cookie washer or the Anti-Face-Book-Button? the
encrypted Bookmarks? All the things Firefox does not have - and every Tor
user can be identified with, when using the FireFox-Tor.

We should be happy to have an alternative to Firefox and I will test it a
little bit, instead of bringing up rumours and old stories without having
it installed., you blinds who speak of colours.

The project is needed as an additional download location, as many arabs and
iran people cannot access the Firefox Tor.
And: It is always good to have an alternative, in any written work from
university it is a must to mention an alternative for the reader. Here it
is done!
Good contributions would be a feature comparision or a linux compile of the
Addon.
All the best with research, which means to update yourself first.
