[liberationtech] Is the Cyberwar beginning?

In so far as there is a cyberwar in China, it's by and large a civil war.
The Chinese government is blocking access to foreign websites, forcing
Chinese websites to delete content and share data on private conversations,
and arresting Chinese Internet users for what they've said to other Chinese
Internet users.

GitHub was targeted, not because it's a foreign company, but because it's a
foreign company that won't take orders from the Chinese government
regarding what content to allow. Because it's HTTPS only, the government
cannot selectively block content. Because it's used by important
businesses, they are reluctant to block it completely.
