Hi,

European Parliament vice president Alexander Alvaro (ALDE) had a severe

Alvaro is considered one of the pivotal shadows of the EU General Data
Protection Dossier (Twitter: #EUdataP)
http://parltrack.euwiki.org/dossier/2012/0011%28COD%29
and presented his impressive amendment proposals by the end of this week.

As a long term member of the Civil Liberties committee he is often
involved with net liberties policies, one of his most famous dossiers
was the data retention directive from which he symbolically resigned as
rapporteur in disagreement.

According to the reports a 21 yrs old Opel driver lost control over his
car and Alvaro's car bumbed into his. The Opel driver was killed, and
two young persons got severely injured. Alvaro is hospitalised and
reportedly suffers from a brain damage.

Best,
André
