[liberationtech] digital to analog: Syria radio help needed

Dear Stefan,

As an Iranian, we have the same problem. However, Radio Farda  based in
Prague has placed his radio transmitters and repeaters around Iran
including Kurdistan, Iraq and is working professionally very well and is
reachable every AM radios, as well as satellite receivers everywhere at
homes, in Taxis, rural area, and even in prisons!

For example, when I was in jail (Evin prison in North of Tehran), some
people who had radio  daily tried to listen human rights news program and
delivered the news about me by repeating behind the flaws of my cell!
(depends on the case of imprisoned people, using raio is uslual for some
people).

By the way, the Syrian dissidents can use the capacity of Safe stations of
Radio-Free Europe including Radio Farda in South/North Iraq which belongs
to US or from Turkey depends on their facilities and coalition.

 Otherwise like the Syrian guy has mentioned, any base station inside the
country will destroy but Radio-Farda's experience and solution is very
sustainable and valuable that can apply for Syria for sure. The best way to
reach this goal would be a diplomatic talk to US. state Department as a
main role-player in BBG and US. Congress as its fonder.
