Forget about going to the library. The public access computers are a
cost for the library. Not a tool for internal use. The amount of care
that the libray sysops have for malware protection is lower than that of
their computers for themselves. It's not malice, just lower priorities.
These public access computer are good to read a digital newspaper,
search the catalog of the library and other public news sources.
However. *Never ever, type in your credentials on these machines!*
Friends don't let friends use public terminals.
I once read a comment stating that public access computers contain as
much viruses as that good looking prostitute in that oriental bar.
It is time to reincarnate that meme.
Guido.
