Totally agree.

I underlined the same point some months ago there

However in the SC model, if you trust the company and the people behind
it you are OK.

It's unlikely that SC would risk their entire business, based on the
trust, by accepting a government requests to backdoor their application
(unless there are very important and very serious threats).

Unfortunately it's just not possible to be outside of trust-chain by
being at the same time a secure service provider and secure software
provider that deliver the software directly to the end-users.
