[liberationtech] Evidence to UK Parliament on security services data collection

As part of an ongoing Joint Parliamentary Committee around the Communications Data Bill in the UK, a hearing happened today where four independent experts gave evidence about the issues involved in legitimising data gathering of public internet access. The CDB is in essence a request by the UK's security services for funds and legal room to update their snooping facilities. The video of the hearing may interest members of this list.
