[liberationtech] Avaaz, is this for real?

This article seems to mention both DDoS and DoS attacks as interchangeable. While both are denial of service attacks, they do not function the same (one being distributed, the other not). It could be a typo, but it changes the explanation of the attack considerably.

Also what is the significance to mention both SOCA and this organisation in the same article? Are they some way linked? If there is no evidence of an attack, why would it be reported?
