Just to note, OSTel is a public testbed for our work trying to build a
truly Open Secure/Standards/Source Telephony Network. Our goal isn't
just to have one app connect to one service. We have tested many client
apps[0] (including all of the PrivateGSM apps) against our OSTel
testbed, to assess how secure they are, and how well they support the
open-standards of SIP, SIP/S (SSL), SRTP, ZRTP, and so on.

We love RedPhone, but its just one app, for one device and one backend
service (for now). What we really want is there to be as many secure SIP
servers properly configured to support SIP/S and ZRTP/SRTP, as there are
Apache servers with HTTP/S, or Mail servers with IMAP/TLS, and so on.
