[liberationtech] Mobile Phone Security

Hello,

It looks like research conducted
<http://slashdot.org/story/12/01/08/069204/leaked-memo-says-apple-provides-backdoor-to-governments>
by Christopher Soghoian indicates that Research in Motion, Nokia, and
Apple mobile phones and technology provide so-described "back doors" for
government agencies. Considering this, which mobile phone providers and
manufacturers remain the most secure? It seems like the numbers are
dwindling, and the user-end side of things is becoming more uneasy.

I'm curious if anyone has resources for mobile phone providers and
manufacturers that are well known to be secure.

Thanks!
