girltank is a hybrid social enterprise (f.2011) designed to empower Young
Women Social Entrepreneurs (or YSEs) globally through a online hub and
marketplace, and to bring their ventures to scale. We bring together young
women from around the world who have shown a proclivity for or interest in
social change to grow their work in a safe, peer-led, virtual space, and
connect them to mentors, incubation sources, and funders to accelerate
their impact. Offline, we facilitate regional meet-ups so that these young
women can collaborate face-to-face.

We have already engaged over 200 handpicked YSEs from 15+ countries
throughout Asia, Europe, Africa, and the Americas; won two grants worth
$55K combined; and been recognized by the Chilean government and the
preeminent design firm Free Range Studios as a 2011 Start-Up Chile company
and the 2011 Youtopia winner, respectively.

We have a design team, but we are in need of 1-2 back-end and front-end
developers to help us build a dynamic online marketplace and hub for our
members, likely using Drupal. We do have some cash, but the true
opportunity lies in the promise to join an up-and-coming social enterprise
that will truly transform the entrepreneurial landscape for young women
innovators, globally.
