Hi all,

I've been listening to the conversation about Skype, and I have a question:

What would it take to create a super-user-friendly Skype like app that met the privacy/security criteria we all seek?

I know there's a bunch of secure VOIP stuff already out there, but ease of installation, usability and reliability is probably why I am many others just go for it, and have conversations we probably shouldn't have over it.

So, here's the questions I am pondering over during the final days of 2012:  What are the skills, production budget, ongoing costs required to create a secure/privacy-respecting skype? What kind of income generation is possible? Can a social enterprise/startup be set up to carry out the implementation and maintenance?
