in a few weeks, are talking about their upcoming app that aims to change
the sharing economy on Thursday at 6pm.  The event is in the business

We increasingly look toward global corporations for answers. They have
scale, market efficiency and cross border reach. But, how real are their
efforts to make themselves more sustainable? Are their intentions genuine?
And if so, are they up to the challenge?

Andy Ruben and Adam Werbach have helped many of the world’s largest
corporations improve their sustainability performance.  Now they’re asking
whether these efficiency improvements are enough to respond to the scale of
a 10 billion consumer world with a climate system on life support.

Andy Ruben launched Walmart’s sustainability efforts in 2004 and served as
the company’s first sustainability officer. He has held a number of
additional executive roles including building Walmart’s strategy group,
reimagining its $20 Billion private brands business, and integrating online
commerce and stores.

Adam Werbach was elected president of the Sierra Club at the age of 23 and
went on to found a number of mission driven companies. As Saatchi &
Saatchi’s chief sustainability officer, he has worked inside some of the
largest consumer brands of our time. Together they’ve been experimenting
with new models of shopping that require a fraction of the resources as
traditional consumption patterns.

Join them both at 6pm April 19th for a frank discussion of sustainability
and the consumer driven economy.
