Andy Ruben and Adam Werbach, the folks who made Wal Mart more sustainable
(along with doing many other cool things) have a very cool idea to change
the way that people share things. Instead of one day-long event, they're
having a weekend retreat with a mix of coding, surfing, and iPad 3s for
attendees. You can apply to come by emailing them. More details below.

Sam, here is the invite we have selectively shared for the event April
27th. It should be a fun weekend with some really good people. Please let
me know any feedback and if you come across anyone who may be interested.
 Best- Andy

Hacka-Surfa-Shara-Thon
April 27-29

Developers: Come spend a weekend in Bolinas, California building the first
rev of a Facebook-integrated site that will reinvent the way people share
things with their friends. Today you can borrow a car or rent an extra room
but there is no widely-available way to share items among a circle of
friends.

You’ll join a small group of participants to tackle the challenge. You’ll
beat up on a set of designs and turn them into a functioning rev that will
go into immediate testing. Each engineer selected for the
hacka-surfa-shara-thon will receive an IPad 3 for their contribution over
the weekend, and have the chance to get involved at the ground floor of a
new venture.

Bolinas is located 45 minutes North of the golden gate bridge. We’ll enjoy
local, organic meals. There will be extra surf boards, wetsuits (and surf
lessons) available.

If you’re interested in attending or learning more, e-mail Adam Werbach
awerbach at gmail.com or Andy Ruben andy at rubenfamily.com.
