It is the Free Network Foundation sincere hope that the Calyx institute
will work closely with us, as our organizations have very complimentary
goals at the core.
Our implementation plans (based on what currently exists on the net from
Calyx at this time) vary somewhat significantly. From my understanding,
it appears this will be a for profit venture and will be a single
nationwide ISP. Hopefully it will be able to avoid issues with
bureaucracy and scaling that AT&T etc have encountered.
We've reached out to Mr Merrill (both early on in the earlier stages of
Calyx and FNF planning and again today) and expressed our desire to work
with him and Calyx.
I'm very eager to see a detailed budget break down of what the 1 million
dollars will go toward.
Most interesting developments indeed.
