The International Security and Foreign Policy Program of the Smith
Richardson Foundation will award grants through its annual competitions for
junior faculty and doctoral students at U.S. institutions.
The *World Politics and Statecraft Fellowship* is an annual competition to
support Ph.D. dissertation research on American foreign policy,
international relations, international security, strategic studies, area
studies, and diplomatic and military history. The Foundation will award up
to twenty grants of $7,500 each. The deadline for submission is October 17,
2011, and the results will be announced by February 1, 2012.
The *Junior Faculty Research Grant Program* is an annual competition that
awards at least three research grants of $60,000 to support tenure-track
junior faculty engaged in the research and writing of a scholarly book on an
issue or topic of interest to the policy community. The deadline for
submission is June 15, 2012, and the results will be announced by October
31, 2012.
