Heck, Anonymous published a shell script that sets up 802.11s on just
about any Linux system. Unfortunately it takes care of nothing else
that would be required (such as address resolution or DHCP). I do not
know how much use the script saw in Egypt or Tunisia, however.

We have parties where we build meshes. We set them up on long bus and
train rides for run. We set them up when we go camping (or we would if
Ubuntu would include development tools by default...
