The admin of labaia.net, a young guy, had his house searched and hardware
seized months ago as a consequence of a magistrate order. Labaia.net was a
simple web proxy to access The Pirate Bay. It is very unclear how the admin
of a web proxy can be considered aiding copyright infringements. At the same
time, the server (which was in italian territory) was taken over by the
police.
As a civil disobedience I and other people opened new web proxies to access
The Pirate Bay and so far we haven't received attention by the police.
As soon as we can overcome the DDoS attacks against Scambioetico servers
which are blocking our operations and access to our blog and forums, I will
give you a link to the article we wrote (in italian, but the Google
translation is not bad).
Regards!
Paolo
