Hi all,
I'll be returning from South America to the Bay Area for the OLPC (One
Laptop Per Child) San Francisco Community Summit October 23-24. (There
is a reception on Friday October 22 for which I won't yet be in town.)
If you have any interest in OLPC, ICT in development, or technology in
education, I encourage you to attend too! It's only $35 (or $20 for
students) and it looks like there will be some really interesting
attendees.

I hope to see you there! Please feel free to forward widely.
A note about me: I am a PhD candidate in Communication (minoring in
Anthropology) at Stanford, and have spent the last three months as an
OLPC volunteer for Paraguay Educa, doing a social and educational
evaluation of the effects of OLPC in Paraguay. I head to Uruguay soon,
and have also talked with some of the people involved with OLPC in
Perú. After the summit I return to the field until mid-December.
Cheers,
~Morgan
