I have been experimenting with gmail and agree it offers some very
useful options, though I am not a fan of having google searches
associated to a specific email account and all of it's other ubiquitous
track-me services.

Zoho also offers unified email and business applications over https. I
find it particularly useful that documents can be created, edited and
viewed online and as this and other applications are so tightly there is
little need to rely upon locally installed office applications. Though
documents are embedded with traceability meta data like
id="zw-114grd7a09056Ib8H4b3456"... It's editor can be used without a
need to register <https://writer.zoho.com/editor.im>.

Zoho does have a handy option to restrict access to specific IP
addresses. 

Though I am still a fan of fastmail, due to it's Public computer (no
cache) option and can still be accessed with cookies and scripts blocked
and it's many OTP options.
