Hi all,

A couple of updates and some excellent news. I added dates and pages for the book 'balkan cyberia' which got a glowing review in the LA review of books [0]. You can find the dates below and on the site:

november 2 how not to network a nation pp. ix – 56
november 14 how not to network a nation pp. 57 – 106
november 28 how not to network a nation pp. 107 – 158
december 12 how not to network a nation pp. 159 – 206
december 26 week off (because of holidays)
january 9 balkan cyberia pp. ix – 56
january 23 balkan cyberia pp. 57 – 106
february 6 balkan cyberia pp. 107 – 182
february 20 balkan cyberia pp. 183 – 226
march 5 balkan cyberia pp. 227 – 268
march 19 balkan cyberia pp. 269 – 321
april 2 author discussion with peters, petrov, and sun-ha hong

We're halfway 'how not to network a nation' and it is very nice seeing how it fits with 'closed world'. I personally am kind of interested to compare it to 'The Question Concerning Technology in China' because they are different approaches to link technology with a particular epoch, culture, and ideology.

Anyhow - we very much invite you all to join, the current book is really quite good as are the discussions! If not, make a good year resolution and start January 9 with us on Balkan Cyberia.

And for the suprise: Benjamin Peters, Viktor Petrov, and Sun-Ha Hong all have committed to joining our session on april 2nd ! So that is promising to be quite a triptych!

That is all from me - happy hacking!

Niels
