Hi Ricki!
great to see you hacking on GlobaLeaks and thank you for getting to
the mailing list for getting feedback on your issue.
To get a bit more context and help you more are you already familiar
with what Tor? (i'm not going into details but if not tell me and i
will clarify you better even in a direct email).
GlobaLeaks exposes itself in two ways:
- via Tor (and in this way it is accessible only using the Tor Browser
- via Tor2web (that is an HTTPS proxy and so it is accessible also via
normal internet)
For each of the different user roles, you are able in globaleaks to
configure if they are able to access via Tor2web or not and what are
the operations that they can do depending on the kind of access.
E.g. for what relates to whistleblowers the default setting allow them
to reach the platform (basically only for reading what the project
deals with) but it does not allow submissions
in order to tweak this settings as admin (that by default is enabled
to access via tor2web) you have to:
- login as admin
- go to "Advanced Settings" section, enter into the "To2web Settings"
tab and check "Allow whistleblowers to perform submissions via
Tor2web"
let me know if this helped you and whenever by using the platform you
find a bug or you would like to suggest a feature you are wlcome to
use our ticketing system ;)

all the best,
Giovanni
