*** CPJ Publishes New List of the Ten Most Censored Countries in the
World ***
According to the Committee to Protect Journalists, the  top most
censored countries in the world include Eritrea, North Korea,
Turkmenistan, Saudi Arabia, China, Vietnam, Iran, Equatorial Guinea,
Belarus, and Cuba. In their most recent, CPJ  explains the various
tactics these countries use, ranging from imprisonment and repressive
laws to surveillance of journalists and restrictions on internet and
social media access.

*** Hong Kong Police Change Guidelines on Use of Force in Protests  ***
Hong Kong police loosened guidelines on the use of force officers should
use in the run-up to demonstrations on Oct. 1, giving them greater power
to deal with protesters in difficult situations, according to police
documents seen by Reuters.

Pollicy Org, Defend Defenders and Internews have created the Common
Sense Guide to Digital Safety for Women and Girls in Sub-Saharan Africa,
a handy booklet to support women in adopting safer online practices.
