### News and Updates ###

*** Submit your sessions for IFF 2019 ***

The IFF is looking for the next batch of session presenters! The
deadline for proposals is November 9. Among this year’s new themes are
Hacking the Net, Community Resilience and The Next Net. Remember that
submitting a sessions does not guarantee a ticket to the IFF. The
opportunity the secure your ticket will come in the following weeks. If
you have any questions, we encourage you to attend Glitter Meetups,
which happen every Thursday at 10am EST.

*** Internews Call for for Proposal ***

Internews has launched a call for proposals focused on providing small
grants to support organizations and individuals to undertake a digital
rights advocacy project. They are looking for short-term and targeted
advocacy initiatives, or projects that produce tangible outputs to raise
awareness of internet policy and digital rights. Applications are due on
October 26, 2018.

*** Katzenpost Looking for Alpha Testers ***

Alpha testers are wanted for Katzenpost, a next generation high-latency
anonymity system. The tool is a result of a four-year research project
by various anonymity experts. It uses mixnet, which allows for traffic
analysis resistant messaging. The team is also looking for application
developers interested in mixnet integration. To test the

*** USAGM Call for Proposals ***

The US Agency for Global Media (USAGM), formerly known as BBG, has
posted three new Internet Anti-Censorship Tool solicitations geared at
the development of desktop PC software, mobile application, and SDK.
