*** Vietnam’s Cybersecurity Law to Increase Regulation and Control Over
Online Activity ***

Viettan has published a report about the new cybersecurity passed in
Vietnam. It specifies that foreign companies must store user data in the
country and be subject to domestic law.

*** Large Campaigns of Phishing Attacks in Middle East and North Africa
Target Privacy-Conscious Users ***

Check out Amnesty International's most recent report looking at cyber
attacks targeting hundreds of individuals in the MENA region. Various
types of tactics were used including visual manipulations to appear like
popular service providers. Researchers also witnessed and documented how
attackers deployed attack methods to undermine security features like
two-factor authentication and the use of codes in their favor.
